HAND History
1993
Nevada H.A.N.D., Inc. is founded in October
to become a self-sustaining organization that employs sound
business practices and finds creative solutions to housing
problems of low-income and moderate-income families. HAND
provides partnerships with public agencies, the private development
community, concerned citizens, and working families whose
wages are not rising as fast as housing costs. HAND believes
that true public/private partnerships work best when the limited
resources of each partner are properly leveraged throughout
the partnership’s undertaking. By involving more people,
each will have to shoulder a smaller load. HAND forms synergistic
relationships where the whole is greater than the sum of its
parts.
