Nevada H.A.N.D., Inc.’s (NHI) Transportation Department was formed to further enhance the benefits extended through the Resident Services Department. Seniors on low and fixed incomes often times are reliant upon alternative transportation means that are inflexible and costly. The Transportation Department utilizes shuttles to provide free weekly fixed routes for all NHI senior properties that include essential goods and services destinations. Many senior residents plan their shopping, banking, pharmacy, entertainment and other needs around the shuttle schedules. Additionally, the shuttles are used for special trips and outings that the seniors enjoy but otherwise may not have access to.
